Exchange Your Holiday Inn Club Points
You may exchange your Holiday Inn Club Points for either IHG Rewards Club Points or RCI points. IHG Rewards Club Points, in addition to all Holiday Inn Club members’ automatic Gold Elite status in the IHG Rewards Club, allow you to book reservations at thousands of hotels and resorts worldwide. You can also enjoy discounts on travel and local attractions.
Protect Your Holiday Inn Club Points
If you need to cancel your vacation at the last minute, you will forfeit your Holiday Inn Club Vacations Points. However, if you would like to prevent this, you can purchase POINTShield, a $35 travel insurance, to protect your Club Points. With POINTShield, all cancellations up to 48 hours before your stay allow you to regain 100% of your Holiday Inn Club Points.
Reserve Your Holiday Inn Club Timeshare
Your Holiday Inn points allow you a 7-night stay at your home resort during your home week. You may reserve this week up to 3 years before your vacation. You also have the option to stay at your home resort during a different week in the year. However, you may not use more than the number of Club Points that you are allotted for with your home week at your Holiday Inn home resort.
If you would like a different vacation experience, you may use your Club Points to stay at any other Holiday Inn Club timeshare for a minimum of a 2-night stay. Points you do not use for your home resort may be used on vacations at any other Holiday Inn Club timeshare.
Resale Restrictions
Not all Holiday Inn Club Vacations timeshares transfer their Club Points when you buy from the resale market. This means, you are not able to automatically exchange your Holiday Inn timeshare for another resort if you buy from the resale market unless you buy at one of the following three resorts:
- Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Lake Geneva
- Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Smoky Mountain Resort
- Holiday Inn Club Vacations South Beach Resort
All three of these timeshare resorts will transfer their allotted points and Holiday Inn Club membership when you purchase from the resale market. If you buy a timeshare resale at any other Holiday Inn location, you will have to purchase the additional points-based membership to be able to transfer within the collection.
