Exchanging Your Welk Timeshare
Welk Resorts owners have a wide variety of choices when planning their vacations. Owners can enjoy a vacation at another Welk Resorts location, or obtain an external exchange company membership to select from resort destinations all across the globe. Welk Resorts Internal Exchange
Owners of Platinum Points are welcome to reserve their vacation at any Welks Resort location. Simply make your reservation at your preferred resort and enjoy your vacation!
If you would like a larger size villa or a more desirable week, you can use points from a future year for a higher value vacation.
However, owners who have purchased a Welk fixed or floating week on the resale market may only stay at their designated home resort. If weeks owners wish to reserve a trip outside of the Welk Resorts brand, however, they may do so through an external exchange company.
Welk Resorts External Exchange
Welk Resorts properties all have the distinction of being Interval International Premier Resorts. This means that your Welk timeshare property will have a high value in the Interval International exchange database.
While all locations within the Welk Resorts brand are Interval International-affiliated, select properties within the collection are also affiliated with RCI. These include:
- Lawrence Welk Resort Villas – Escondido, California
- Lawrence Welk's Desert Oasis – Cathedral City, California
- Lawrence Welk's Villas on the Greens – Escondido, California
Both Interval International and RCI memberships must be purchased separately, and are in addition to the cost of buying a Welk Resorts timeshare.
Fixed week owners must contact II or RCI, while floating week and Platinum Points owners must first contact Welk Resorts to find out the conversion rate and exchange value for their timeshare. Once you’ve deposited your week with your exchange company, simply choose the resort you’d like to visit and get ready for your trip.
