Day 1: Boardwalking on Sunshine

It goes without saying that Ocean City does, in fact, live up to its name. The town is surrounded by beautiful beaches, lively shore-side shops, and of course the Ocean City Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk was awarded one of the best in the country by The Travel Channel, National Geographic, and USA Today. So it’s likely that you’ll want to spend multiple days here. But for the first day we recommend you kick back on the beach, soak up some rays, absorb the atmosphere, then head over to the boardwalk for a quick walk around. Maybe pick up some salt water taffy and scout out spots for the upcoming days.

Day 2: Rock and Roller Coaster

So you’ve rested up, survived the jet lag or the groggy post-car ride feeling and now you’re ready for some adventure. Well, nothing gets the adrenaline pumping on your Ocean City MD vacation faster than an amusement park!

Trimper’s Rides and Amusement Park, located on the Boardwalk, features all kinds of attractions from thrill rides to family-friendly to kiddie rides and beyond. Jolly Roger Amusement Park also has plenty of entertainment to keep you busy all day long, such as mini golf, roller coasters, and more! You can also hop on over to Frontier Town and head out to the water park and play a round of cowboy mini golf!

Day 3: Night (Or Day) at the Museum

Take a break from the heat and get off the street into one of Ocean City’s fine museums. Hit the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum on the pier where you’ll see over 500 exhibits, artifacts, and oddities from around the world.

Another classic idea for a day trip—again, located right on the Boardwalk—is the Ocean City Life-Saving Museum. The museum is dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of life saving on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia and features photos of the Ocean City marine life, interactive playrooms for the kids and a brand new exhibit called the Stormy Sixties.

Day 4: When You Fish Upon A Star

Looking to get out further into the open waters of the pristine Atlantic? Go out deep sea fishing! West OC Watersports is one of the hottest boating companies around. The family owned and operated business takes adventures out and around Ocean City for a great fishing excursion. Even if you’re “all set” on the fishing, you can rent a pontoon and spend the day tubing on the bay! After you’re done, dry off and go grab some grub or check out another great beach around the area.

Day 5: Mini Golf and Martinis

Day 5 is where you treat the kids as well as yourself. Take the youngsters over to Planet Maze Lasertron and Lost Galaxy Golf to expend some energy during the day. Once they’ve worn themselves out, you could always put them down for naps while you and your significant other go out for cocktails or if you don’t have kids, plan a romantic restaurant tour to sample delicious cuisine and cocktail specials!

Day 6: Kayaking, Canoeing, and Paddleboarding

Need a little more excitement with your beach time? Want activities to help you stay fit after all the dining out?
