If you are interested in purchasing an RCI membership, you’ll want to fully understand the annual fees and other charges involved for the membership and for the exchanging process. RCI membership fees change each year, so you’ll want to keep that in mind before buying. As we’ve done in year’s prior with the RCI membership fees 2016 and the 2015 RCI membership fees, we want to keep you updated on how the membership and prices change each year. So here is a comprehensive look at the RCI membership cost and the RCI membership fees effective December 4, 2016.
The RCI basic membership costs $99. The basic membership gives you access to RCI’s exchange program. Simply deposit your timeshare week at your home resort for a week at another resort within their network of affiliated resorts. If you know you are going to want to be an RCI member for more than just one year, you have the opportunity to save by paying upfront for a multi year membership.

Your RCI Weeks membership can also be upgraded to an RCI Weeks Platinum membership. This membership comes with additional member perks such as room upgrades, priority access to high demand resorts, platinum rebates, and more. Unsurprisingly, it also comes with an additional fee. Like the basic membership, you can pay in advance for a multi-year Weeks Platinum membership and enjoy savings. Below depicts the fee you pay in addition to your basic RCI Weeks Subscription fee.

With so much uncertainty in life, RCI offers a program that allows you pay a small fee to extend your deposit in case you are unable to go on your vacation. It keeps you from losing your deposit and the money you paid for the exchange.

Additionally, you are able to combine your deposit or your deposit credits for $119. This fee lets you extend your travel window of your newly combined deposit up to two years from the combination date.
For peace of mind when planning your vacation, you can purchase Trading Power Protection. If anything should come up where you’re not able to travel, you can change or cancel your vacation so it doesn’t go to waste.
The other type of RCI membership is RCI Points. With points, you have more options to customize your vacations with the ability to choose when and how long you book your getaways. Additionally, a points subscription also gets you a free RCI Weeks account. You can also upgrade to RCI Platinum points to enjoy more exchange opportunities including unit upgrades, rebates, and a selection of other discounts.

With an RCI membership, you can also save your points and even extend them for more flexibility with your vacations. Saving points carries them over from their Use Year into the following Use Year. Saving points allows you to take a longer vacation or more trips per year. The Points Saving Fee is $26.
By extending Points, you carry them into a third year. With less than 30,000 Points, the Points Extension Fee is $75. With more than 30,000 Points, the Points Extension Fee is $115.
If you want to ensure you don’t lose your points if you aren’t able to go on your vacation for any reason, RCI offers Points Protection. The price for this service varies depending on the length of your anticipated vacation.
When it comes to exchanging, you are able to do so through RCI.com or through their Call Center. Fees are based off of whether you have a Weeks or Points membership. With Weeks, an exchange using the Call Center or RCI.com is $230. With Points, there is more variation in cost for exchanging varies because you have the opportunity to vacation for different lengths of time.
