COVID-19 Puerto Rico Travel Restrictions Coming to an End

Great news for those who have been vaccinated and are eager to travel! Puerto Rico travel restrictions are being lifted, with the recent announcement that US travelers will no longer require a negative COVID-19 PCR test to visit the island if fully vaccinated. This order will officially go into effect on Friday, May 28, 2021.

Another one of the Puerto Rico travel restrictions being lifted is the local curfew that went into place in March 2020. This curfew was officially lifted on Monday, May 24, making it easy for tourists to enjoy more of Puerto Rico during their trip.

Those who are not fully vaccinated or who are arriving from outside of the United States will still be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test from the last 72 hours.

• Business capacity has been raised from 30-percent to 50-percent
• Mask mandate is lifted for fully vaccinated individuals at parks and beaches
• Alcohol can once again be consumed at pools and beaches
• Entertainment venues will operate at 30-percent capacity with individuals in attendance fully vaccinated or able to present a negative antigen test
