DVC Update: Upcoming Disney World Resort Renovations

We have some exciting news regarding the fan-favorite timeshare ownership brand, Disney Vacation Club! This summer, as early as next week, there will be some Disney Vacation Club renovations happening at some of their Florida-based resorts.

Here is what you need to know about what will be changing and how it could affect your trip to either of these properties.

Disney World Resort Renovations

The two Disney Vacation Club resorts getting a facelift are Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and Disney’s Old Key West Resort. This phased refurbishment will be starting next week.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa will have work done on the main lobby and porte cochere. The phases will include:

• Phase 1 begins on June 28th, when the connecting hallway to the main lobby will close for refurbishment
• Phase 2 will take place July 12 through the end of September and the porte cochere will be closed. Guests will still be able to be picked up and dropped off here with a temporary walkway in place to access the front desk and concierge. Guests with vehicles will be directed to curbside check-in
• Phase 3 will begin in early August when the connecting hallway will open and the main lobby will close. Front desk and concierge services will be available in the hallway in addition to curbside check-in.

Once the renovations are completed, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa will offer an enhanced and updated check-in experience with a free-flowing layout and various smaller counters to aid guests in planning for their vacation.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort will also have work done on the main lobby for a better guest experience. The phases are as follows:

• Phase 1 begins on June 28 and guests will still be able to check-in normally in the main lobby while the den area is closed.
• During phase 2, the main lobby will close and the front desk and concierge will move into the den temporarily.

Upon completion, there will be a more open and free-flowing layout within the main lobby that will make the check-in process easier with more counters to better prepare you and your family for your Disney vacation.
