Thanksgiving is coming up next week, which means the holiday season is already in full swing. Disney fans also know that holidays at Walt Disney World are back officially as of November 11th. The festivities go all the way through the end of the year so you have plenty of time to plan a trip and experience them for yourself!
If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you get a heads-up on all the holiday happenings. Plus, you can enjoy a number of discounts on event tickets, park passes, and dining experiences throughout the Disney World holiday events schedule.
With all the holiday events and activities officially announced, we want to be sure to give you a comprehensive overview of all there is to do, see, and taste! Here is the full lineup for the Disney holiday 2022 season!
Events and festivities vary by park. Be sure to plan ahead with your vacation to ensure you have the correct park passes purchased so you can hit up all the different holiday events! Here are all the events happening at each of your favorite Disney parks.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party – A fan-favorite every year! This party features a parade with all your favorite characters, live entertainment, dazzling fireworks, and more. It takes place during select nights in November and December, and Disney Vacation Club members get $10 off these event tickets!
Cinderella Castle Projections – Stay at the park after the sun sets to watch the castle transform to be decked out with Christmas-themed projections. These are different than the Beacon of Magic projections shown on the nights of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Treats and Decor – Walk right down the middle of Main Street to see holly, wreaths, and Christmas trees everywhere you look. And be sure to sample some of the delicious holiday treats including a chai caramel freeze, holiday dinner dog, Texas-sized sweet potato pie, and a Christmas cookie churro.
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays – This festival begins on November 25. Guests can enjoy numerous themed meals at Holiday Kitchens, a Holiday Cookie stroll, and many other seasonal sights and sounds.
Candlelight Processional – This is another annual favorite where guests can hear the story of Christmas read by a celebrity narrator with an orchestra and choir. The processional takes place every night from November 25 through November 30.
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Overlay – Your favorite Marvel gang is building a playlist of all your favorite seasonal hits to set the mood as you blast off at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Holiday Snacks – No seasonal trip to Epcot is complete without trying some of their holiday favorites from around the world. This includes the gingerbread salted caramel buttercream cookie sandwich, Werther’s Original caramel holiday flight, and Werther’s Original caramel hot cocoa square.
Sunset Seasons Greetings – Stay for Extra Magic Hours (part of the Disney Vacation Club membership benefits) and watch the Hollywood Tower Hotel be transformed by stunning Christmas projections.
Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine – Make sure you make your reservation for this unique dining experience with hostess Minnie herself! Enjoy a holiday-themed buffet and an exciting menu of seasonal cocktails.
Santa Claus Motorcade – Santa Claus is coming to town…on a motorcycle no less! The Santa Claus Merry Motorcade runs down Hollywood Boulevard with Santa in his red convertible.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration – Bring the kids for a fun seasonal sing-a-long with Olaf the snowman.
Decor and Treats – Discover impressive seasonal decor everywhere you look, including special decorations in the new Toy Story Land. Unique holiday treats include Holiday Minnie Mouse bundt cake, reindeer mousse, red velvet whoopie pie, and a candy cane milkshake.
Merry Menagerie – Celebrate the winter season with a visit to Discovery Island to see the arctic animal puppets including penguins, reindeer, foxes, and polar bears.
Santa Claus Festive Flotilla – Get a close look at the big guy himself as he takes a sail down the Discovery River with an upbeat Christmas soundtrack.
Discovery Island Drummers Festive Flotilla – Stand on the shores of the Discovery River to watch as the percussionists sail by playing some of your favorite holiday classics.
Tree of Life Awakenings – Visit the famous Animal Kingdom Tree of Life and watch each night as it shimmers and glows with holiday lights backed by a holiday musical score.
Seasonal Treats – Don’t leave Animal Kingdom without sampling some of their delectable holiday snacks including the holiday mousse dome, s’mores hot cocoa, peppermint hot cocoa, and peppermint cream cheese mousse.
Festive Entertainment – You can have a full Christmas experience right at Disney Springs with Santa meet and greets, musical performances, Snowflake Sakers, Toy Soldiers on stilts, and even a live DJ.
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll – Walk around and enjoy the beautifully decked-out Christmas trees throughout all the Disney Springs neighborhoods.
Let It Snow! – Didn’t think you could have a white Christmas in Florida? Every night, Disney Springs organizes a magical snowfall so you can feel like you’re in a winter wonderland.
Holiday Treats – Be sure to sample some of the seasonal offerings, especially Amorette’s Patisserie which features an ornament mousse dome cake, a holiday wreath pastry, a Santa Claus petit cake, and holiday Mickey mousse.
