DVC News: Fort Wilderness Resort to Welcome First DVC Accommodations to Property

Disney Vacation Club has recently announced another project coming to the Florida campus that will expand its offerings for the first time to the beloved Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The iconic vacation ownership brand is to refurbish more than 350 of the property’s existing cabins and create The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A DVC Resort, which is projected to open in 2024 and will become the 17th DVC property.

The cabin renovations will keep the structures’ existing footprints and will include a bedroom, a bathroom, a living area, a full kitchen, and a patio. They will sleep up to six adults and some cabins will also be pet-friendly.

The design concepts for these cabins will be inspired by the property’s beautiful setting on 750 acres of pines and cypress forest, all while bringing the finishes and furnishing into the 21st century.

In addition to the cabin renovations, other areas of the Fort Wilderness Resort property will also see improvements, including the pool, walking trails, and new dining experiences. Recently, the Trail’s End sit-down restaurant was closed for renovations to transition the eatery into a grab-and-go-styled marketplace for guests to grab food quickly before heading out to the parks.
