As we get closer to the Halloween season, many Disney fans will have noticed that the parks have transitioned their decorations for the fall season! Not only do guests love their carved Mickey pumpkins, specialty treats, and other decorations, but it also begins Mickey’s Not-So-Spooky Halloween party at Magic Kingdom and Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park/Disney California Adventure Park!
These parties are hosted on specific nights throughout September and October and allow guests to come dressed up in costume (meeting Disney’s guidelines) to the parks with their special event ticket to celebrate! Halloween fireworks, trick-or-treat stations, character greetings, Halloween parades, and select attractions will all be available. In California, you might see the Headless Horseman ride down Main Street and in Florida you can experience the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular!
In addition to all the fun you can have just as a normal guest to the park during these select dates, members get additional Disney ownership perks. We don’t want you to miss out on any of the spooky fun, so here’s some of the most important things you need to know for your trip!
During their Halloween festivities, Disney releases their newest seasonal design for Mickey ears and this year, DVC owners can buy an exclusive pair! They were created with the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse’s first appearance on Steamboat Willie in mind and will be a collectors item you keep for years to come.
Owners can receive discounted special event ticket rates for the Halloween celebrations on select dates, whether they buy their tickets in advance or purchase them the day-of. This provides you even more opportunities to join in on the fun and even return for multiple days if your budget allows for it!
For those who visit Magic Kingdom to celebrate Halloween, you are invited to an exclusive DVC holiday event! The DVC Halloween Party takes place on October 31, 2018 at the Ballroom of Americas at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Between the live music, photo ops, Disney character encounters, carnival games, and complimentary face painting and keepsake photo, your kids will never want to leave the fun!
Disney World lovers will be excited to hear that DVC ownership now means you can enter Magic Kingdom up to two hours earlier than regular guests during nights of Halloween celebration! For the first time ever, members can present their valid DVC card and special event ticket at the main entrance and enjoying the fun at 2:00 PM. Members can also invite up to seven guests to join them.
