The Hilton Grand Vacations Club is continuing its expansion with a new resort in Orlando, Florida. Las Palmeras, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, will the be the name of the new vacation ownership property scheduled to begin operating as a Hilton resort next month. Although the resort will assume its new title almost immediately, Hilton plans to convert the existing property into a 226-unit resort and renovate the entire property over the course of 2016.

Las Palmeras is located in the heart of Orlando’s tourism district, and is just minutes from the major theme parks in the area. It joins Hilton’s list of exclusive Orlando resorts, which includes properties like the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Tuscany Village, and the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at SeaWorld. HGVC president Mark Wang stated: “Our Club membership has experienced significant growth. Bringing Las Palmeras into our Hilton portfolio of outstanding resorts increases the value we provide to our owners and guests.”

However, the process will not be a straightforward one. Hilton still plans to transform the property to upgrade the current accommodations and amenities to the vacation club’s standards. Plans include developing one and two bedroom villas along with smaller studio units. Interested HGVC members and prospective buyers can expect to see heated outdoor pools, water slides, whirlpool spas, a sprawling fitness center, restaurant and bar, and more contemporary resort essentials. The entire project is forecasted to be complete by November 2016.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club members should keep an eye out for accommodations immediately. While the resort will be operational as soon as next month, updated timeshare units will likely not be available until late next year. As Las Palmeras joins the fascinating and growing list of HGVC resorts, one thing is clear—we should all expect Hilton to continue its reputation for convenient vacation solutions and luxury accommodations with this new addition.
