After temporarily closing due to the pandemic, Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach has finally reopened. This gorgeous beachfront resort, located in La Romana, Dominican Republic, has not only implemented new health and safety protocols, but it also features renovations to the guest rooms, lobby, and added amenities.
Already a resort known for its high cleanliness standards, Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach has taken their hygiene and health measures to the next level through their partnership with Cristal International Services. They have been able to adopt the added guidelines put out by the World Health Organization and other top health authorities.
Ettore Colussi, the founder and president of Viva Wyndham Resorts, commented:
“Viva Wyndham Resorts used the closure as an opportunity to build upon our priority of safety, health and cleanliness to champion the latest local and global health guidelines by implementing new practices, services and adapted amenities across all our all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. Reopening our doors at our first-ever property, Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach, symbolizes a new beginning, as we reveal a fresh, new experience that is ready to allow guests to escape and recharge in a pristine oasis.”
The resort first opened in 1987 as the brand’s first all-inclusive Caribbean resort. While the resort already boasted high-end amenities, they took advantage of their temporary closure to further enhance the property.
Guests will enter the resort and be wowed by the gorgeous, modernized lobby. The rooms have been updated to include colonial and modern decor with stunning ocean or garden views. Other resort amenities include four swimming pools, including a brand new saltwater infinity pool and two pools that have dedicated children’s areas.
Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach has also expanded and updated their onsite dining with the latest technologies to serve up local delicacies and other finely crafted foods. The new outdoor Tiki Bar offers swing seating where guests can enjoy snacks and ice cold cocktails.
There is also the new Latin Fusion restaurant with a-la-carte cuisine in an open-air ambience. Other existing restaurants, La Terraza buffet, Viva Mexico, and La Pizzeria all got a makeover with brand new decor for a fresh feel.
As travel restrictions loosen up, it is the perfect time to plan your vacation to the newly renovated and very sanitary Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach.
Stay in a standard or superior room, or choose a luxurious bungalow garden front or oceanfront room. Each offers a private terrace or balcony, flat screen TVs, a minibar, and plush bedding.
