If you own at an RCI affiliated resort and are interested in purchasing an RCI membership, you’ll first want to take a look at the fees and costs associated with all things external exchange. RCI membership fees change each year, so you’ll want to keep that in mind before buying. As we’ve done the past couple of years with RCI membership fees 2017, RCI membership fees 2016 and the 2015 RCI membership fees, we want to keep you updated on price changes each year. Here is your annual comprehensive look at the RCI membership cost and the RCI membership fees effective September 25, 2017.
Buying an RCI basic membership costs you $99. The basic membership allows you access to RCI’s exchange program. To exchange, all you have to do is deposit your timeshare week at your home resort for a week at another resort within RCI’s network of resort affiliates. You are able to save money on your annual membership if you are willing to pay upfront for multiple years.

Additionally, you have the opportunity to upgrade your RCI Weeks membership to an RCI Weeks Platinum membership. The Platinum membership comes with extra benefits such as room upgrades, priority access to high demand resorts, platinum rebates, and more. There is an additional fee if you want to enjoy these benefits. Like the basic membership, you can pay in advance for a multi-year Weeks Platinum membership and take advantage of a percentage of annual savings. Below, you can see the fee that you will have to pay in addition to your basic RCI Weeks Subscription fee.

The newest tier of RCI membership is RCI Gold. This membership offers a higher level of service, additional savings on RCI programs, additional flexibility, more and much more. Privileges of note include 5% discount on Extra Vacations and Last Call Vacations, free on-hold vacations, Guided Vacations, and savings on Cruise exchange. The annual fees are as follows:

For those who like to prepare for the unexpected, RCI has a convenient program that lets you pay a nominal fee to extend your deposit in the event you can’t go on your vacation. This fee keeps you from losing your deposit and the additional money you paid for the exchange.

RCI Points is the second type of membership you can purchase though RCI. Points give you more opportunities to fully customize your vacations, as you can determine when and how long you want to travel each time. An RCI Points subscription comes with a complimentary RCI Weeks account. Like RCI Weeks, you can upgrade to RCI Platinum points to take advantage of discounts, upgrades, and more.

If you are unable to vacation one year or want to save up your points for a longer or more upgraded vacation, you have the opportunities to save you points. This carries them over from their original Use Year into the next Use Year. The Points Saving Fee is $26.
If you choose to extend your Points, this carries them into a third year. With less than 30,000 Points, the Points Extension Fee is $85. With more than 30,000 Points, the Points Extension Fee is $125.
For added peace of mind, you can take advantage of the RCI Points Protection Program so that you don’t lose your points if you are unable to travel. The price of this program varies based on the length of your planned vacation.
If you purchased 31 days or more from the date of the vacation confirmation or 14 days or less from check-in date, the fees are:
Exchange through RCI can be made through their Call Center or right on RCI.com, depending on your preference. With a Weeks membership, an exchange using the Call Center or RCI.com costs $239. With a Points membership, there is more variation in cost for exchanging. This is because you can exchange different lengths of getaways.
